About Dojour

Dojour was founded in 2015 by brothers Conor and Timmer O'Phelan - Basically, we had the same problem as everyone else was having. Our favorite spots in town were putting on events, and we kept hearing about the day after. FOMO was setting in hard.

At the time, we designed and built websites for local businesses. Many of our clients happened to put on events, so we knew this was a problem for them too. Believe it or not, they didn't want people missing their events either.

We started dreaming up a better way to share and follow events. But since we were only two people, we decided to start solving the problem one event organizer at a time. How? By creating an event calendar that was free (so anyone could use it), easy to use (so people actually keep it up-to-date) and subscribable (so fans never missed out). Then we reached out to our favorite places to use it, so at least the problem would be fixed for us!

To support our project, to further help the organizers, and keep our calendar fee; the next thing we did was start working on an event registration system. Not only did we want it to work seamlessly with our calendars, but we wanted to make the process as hands-free as possbile. Hands-free so our user's hands would be free to keep creating new shows, workshops and parties!

Today, we are still growing to platform with the input of event throwers and goers. We're excited by everything we've built so far, but we're even more excited about what's to come. If you're interested, reach out. We'd love to hear from you!

Our Mission

We believe finding something to do has to be easier than finding something to watch on Netflix, or we are all doomed. We want to help people creating experiences connect to people who love having experiences. We want to help people come together. We want to help local businesses to stay in business. And we want to help leave this world better than we found it.

Where are we?

Dojour has two homes. Conor lives and runs Dojour in the Twin Cities, and Timmer does the same in Austin, TX.
