Japan’s ancient sake tradition has found a new wave of enthusiasts in the 21st century. From delicate daiginjos to textural nigoris, the range of flavors, aromas, and methods found in sake brewing is staggering. We welcome Chris Foster from Libation Project, who will guide you through the basics of sake production, the various terms used, and styles made, differences between the prefectures and how different water sources contribute to the sake’s character, and much more. Attendees will enjoy curated snack plates from the Cheese Shop, a thoughtful selection of sakes to sample, and special event pricing on all featured sakes. Participants must be 21 years old. Tickets are non-refundable. If you cannot attend a class you have registered for, registration is transferable to another France 44 class through Dojour. All classes are subject to minimum enrollment. If a class is cancelled, we'll notify you 48 hours in advance. Please notify France 44 with any dietary restrictions or preferences. France 44 has ample parking for all attendees and is wheelchair accessible. For the safety of our staff and guests, we strongly recommend that all attendees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
