Yuya Negishi Art Show

We'll be treated to a rare look into the creative musings of this international artist, fresh from his tour of southeast Asia. You may have seen Yuya's murals and paintings scattered across the Twin Cities' landscape. His contribution to the Bob Dylan mural earned him worldwide recognition. His vibrant and often psychedelic creations influenced by his Japanese home captivate the eye and imagination. Come and see one of Minneapolis's own emerging artists.

Yuya was born in Showa Village, Gunma, a small farming community in the mountains beyond Tokyo. Yuya draws artistic inspiration from the memories and sensations of growing up in the Japanese countryside, where he would roam “like a hidden Ninja” exploring the woods, temples, and mountain tops of the breath taking Gunma region.
