Shark Week + Jaws Trivia

Join us for a very specal edition of trivia because IT'S SHARK WEEK on Discovery Channel! Join us on July 31st at Hops & Grain brewery for 8 rounds of snarky sharky trivia covering shark facts you just learned watching Shark Week plus Jaws 1 & 2. Shark Week trivia is presented by Faye Fearless.

Be sure to tune in to Shark Week on Discovery channel starting July 23rd, Hops & Grain will be screening Shark Week on select days, so head there with your team and get to studying!

6-7pm Social hour with fellow divers, captains, marine biologists, and other shark nerds nerds. Come early and grab yourself a delicous pint from Hops and Grain to enjoy before trivia starts. Form your team, strategize, and study up.

6:30-7pm Check in for trivia

7pm Round 1 of trivia begins promptly at 7pm, late arrivals will not be accepted. If you arrive after round 1 has begun you will not be able to join us and your ticket will be forfeited. We must be fair to all players competing.

Topic- covering material from Shark Week 2017 on Discovery Channel plus Jaws 1 & 2, shark related facts, horror stories, misconceptions, and other sciency things

How Trivia Works:

-teams of 5 (all players may purchase tickets separately and form teams upon arrival)

-8 rounds with 10 questions per round, answers collected and scored at the end of each round

-all teams will play all 8 rounds, at the end of 8 rounds final 2 teams will face off for a finale speed round

-talk quietly amongst your team to avoid sharing answers unintentionally

-anyone caught cheating will be eliminated and given detention

-trivia is open to all ages, there is no minimum age to play, but everyone playing must have purchased a ticket

-players under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, both the parent/guardian and the child must have purchased a ticket to trivia

Prizes- Players on the winning team will each receive your choice of shark paraphernalia from the prize basket. Max 5 prizes per team.

No refunds are offered for trivia unless the event is cancelled. Tickets may be sold or transferred. If you arrive late, after the start of round 1, you will not be able to participate in trivia, so that we can be fair to the other players competing. No refunds are offered for late arriving players.
