Workshop: Ceramics 101
Curious about the wild world of ceramics? In this beginner-friendly workshop, we will quickly learn the basics of ceramic-making (clay types, glazing, firing, and best practices), and then we will start with the no-experience-needed pinch pot technique! After getting comfortable making a pinch bowl, we will move on to vases, and then wrap up class by decorating and glazing our pieces, practicing and using several techniques. To complete your pieces, Kara will fire them (essentially baking them, so they retain their shape and become durable & food-safe) and return them to for pick-up at CRAFT three weeks from the class date. You’re guaranteed expert instruction, troubleshooting tips, the freedom to create more than one piece, and a really fun evening!
