"To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flow Hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity for the hour." William Blake
You can create magical galaxies from simple watercolor paints. Elena will demonstrate a variety of techniques to depict galaxies and night skies, including incorporating alcohol, ink, and salt. Practice step-by-step along with Elena to experiment with all the options, and then put them all together to create your own unique art. These pieces are great for framing.
**In this class, you will **
- work with pan and tube watercolors
- experiment with alcohol, inks, and salt
- learn the wet on wet watercolor technique
- play with texture in your paintings
- receive instruction in an intimate class and one-on-one support from Elena as needed
- learn about light sources and adding shadows and highlights correctly
- play with your mistakes to incorporate them or fix them
- take home your practice papers and your final piece
- bonus: use gel pens!
