If you’re curious about sewing or just want to have a good time making something for yourself, this is the workshop for you. No sewing machine, materials, or experience required - just show up and leave with something cool!

In this beginner-friendly workshop, led by professional seamstress and designer Vanessa of Ronkita Design, you’ll gain hands-on experience with a sewing machine and sew a project of your choice.

At the start of the workshop, you’ll select one of these projects to make and take home with you:

• Small Tote Bag: Carry your essentials in a custom tote bag.
• Drink Cozy: Keep your favorite canned drink cool with custom cozies.
• Clutch Handbag: Personalize your wardrobe with a sleek and stylish custom clutch.
• Drink Coasters: Protect your furniture and personalize your home decor with a set of 4 custom drink coasters.

These projects provide an intro to the basics of sewing, and you can personalize them for yourself or to give as gifts. Collect them all! Take the workshop again and again to make all of the projects, or enroll again to practice and make more of the same one.

A variety of fabric will be provided for you to choose from to make the project. If you want to use your own fabric, you’ll need to bring 1⁄2 yard (18" x 45") of cotton fabric.

If you’re taking other workshops at CRAFT, like fabric dyeing, embroidery, or screen printing, bring your completed projects from these workshops and you can use them in the sewing workshop.
